Hometown heroes honored at Copps Coliseum in 2004

Hamilton’s Harry Howell, who played 21 seasons in

In March of 2004, Hamilton honored its hockey heroes in a special
celebration held at a Hamilton Bulldogs game. Of the 48 players,
coaches, scouts, officials, and managers with a Hamilton or Hamilton-area
connection, almost 20 were on hand for the festivities.
Those honored included:
Dave Andreychuk - 19 seasons with Buffalo, Toronto, New Jersey,
Colorado, Boston, and Tampa Bay.
Allan Bester – 10 seasons with Toronto, Detroit, and Dallas.
Andy Brown – Three seasons with Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Frank Caprice – Six seasons in the NHL with Vancouver.
Joe Cirella – 15 seasons with Colorado, New Jersey, Quebec,
NY Rangers, Florida, and Ottawa.
Adam Creighton – 14 seasons with Buffalo, Chicago, NY Islanders,
Tampa Bay, and Saint Louis.
Ian Cushenan – Five seasons with Chicago, NY Rangers, and
Detroit.
Herb Dickenson – Two seasons with NY Rangers.
Dave Dryden – Nine seasons with NY Rangers, Chicago, Buffalo,
and Edmonton.
Ken Dryden – Eight seasons with Montreal.
Blake Dunlop – 11 seasons with Minnesota, Philadelphia,
Saint Louis, and Detroit.
Cecil (Babe) Dye – 11 seasons with Toronto, Hamilton, Chicago,
and NY Americans.
Don Edwards – 10 seasons with Buffalo, Calgary, and Toronto.
Roy Edwards – Seven seasons with Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Nelson Emerson – 12 seasons with Saint Louis, Winnipeg,
Hartford/Carolina, Chicago, Ottawa, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
Ed Gilbert – Four seasons with Kansas City, and Pittsburgh.
Pat Hickey – 10 seasons with NY Rangers, Colorado, Toronto,
Quebec, and Saint Louis.
Harry Howell – 21 seasons with NY Rangers, Oakland Seals,
and Los Angeles.
Willie Huber – 10 seasons with Detroit, NY Rangers, Vancouver,
and Philadelphia.
Dick Irvin Sr – Three seasons with Chicago. Also coached
with Chicago, Toronto, and Montreal.
Al Jensen – Eight seasons with Detroit, Washington, and
Los Angeles.
Stan Jonathan – Seven seasons with Boston and Pittsburgh.
Derek King – 14 seasons with NY Islanders, Hartford, Toronto,
and Saint Louis.
Adam Mair – Four seasons with Toronto, Los Angles, and Buffalo,
Marty McSorley – 17 seasons with Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Los
Angeles, NY Rangers, San Jose, and Boston.
John Miszuk – Six seasons with Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia,
and Minnesota.
Ron Murphy – 18 seasons with NY Rangers, Chicago, Detroit,
and Boston.
Ric Nattress – 11 seasons with Montreal, Saint Louis, Calgary,
Toronto, and Philadelphia.
